I am a college student and instant noodles are like the life line for everyone. I normally eat the small cup noodles (shrimp flavor) but I bought a pack of these because I felt that the normal cup noodles were too little and repetitive. At first I was not a big fan of the spicy flavor, but when I ate my second cup I realized how much more filling and better it was compared to the cup noodles. I mean sure they are like 2-3 times more expensive, but they are like 1.5-2 servings. Just be warned though, they are like a day's worth of sodium in each one. I never have these as a meal replacement, but just a midnight snack when I'm up studying. The spice also helps keep my awake which is a plus. I cant wait to try out some of the other flavors they have to offer. Definitely a must to have a pack of these in the house sitting around.

At 330 calories and 8g of saturated fat and lots of MSG and preservatives, you can't eat this often. It's a good snack, because there is not much of it. And it's spicy, so it's exciting to eat. It's what you would expect out of a spicy-flavored ramen. except it's conveniently already in a cup. I only wish it was healthier.

If you even remotely like Korean food and or kimchee, this is the noodle for you! It tastes great and has a very strong flavor (in a good way). You can't go wrong! I bought 4 boxes myself!

cheap ramen smell disgusting and aren't vegan. this one is and it tastes delicious. the price does suck but really that's what convenience foods like this should cost. it should always be cheaper to make your own food. so for the few times when i do not have time to cook, it is worth the $2 (or 1.50 on sale sometimes in supermarket)

Make no mistake... this is a pre-packaged, instant convenience food. That said, it's quite good for what it is. Also easy to make: add water, microwave one minute on high, stir, microwave 4 minutes on low. I prefer that method to the microwave 2 minutes, let stand 10 minutes directions of many other Dr McDougall's soups. Unfortunately, my microwave doesn't have a high or low setting so it was just a little dry by the end of the last 4 minutes. I'd probably do 2 or 3 minutes for the second microwaving and see how that goes next time.
I also think the packaging is a little misleading. It looks similar to the packaging of products like Annie Chun's Udon Soup Noodle Bowl in which you have more of a bowl or meal tray that contains noodles and flavor or sauce packets. It is in fact a soup cup to which you add water and... Read more

Instant Noodles Shrimp Tom Yum Flavour. Here is a dish we eat regularly, Instant Noodles Shrimp Tom Yum Flavour. A spicy hot & sour noodle containing aromatic lemon grass & kaffir lime leaves, and galangal. This Tom Yum recipe has a nice spectrum of tastes and aromas with the red chili oil droplets on top of the soup. You can jazz up this instant noodle with lots of delicious ingredients. This soup i eating in europe,when i dont have time and im so glad i cant buy it here in USA.Specially,when person is sick,this soup is better than chicken soup,make you sweat like you are in hell ;-)

This taste delicious. I love the spiciness. Sometimes I eat 2 packets a day. I'm craving it right now! I can't have any until I get back to the U.S.A :(
My only complained is the high sodium levels.
I've tried the shrimp mama brand in Australia, but it's just not the same. The Australian one is more creamy.

I get these at Walmart (in the Asian food section) for .49 cents each. I absolutely LOAD UP on them. They are like any other raman noodle in that you boil water, add raman and cook for a min or two until your degree of doneness. Then you drain as much water as you prefer, which I personally drain most of it. I leave just enough to still have `soup' water after the noodles soak/cool. Every package also comes with three additions. One is a packet of paste, much like curry pastes if you use them. You have to cut an end off and really squish and squeeze the paste into your bowl of cooked noodles. Then the other packet has two sides. One is full of tasty spices and herbs. I use both of these packets and my noodles are plenty spicy. There is also a side packet of Chili powder if you like your food really hot. I have learned to leave this packet out because I enjoy the slightly spiciness (a slow warming of body temp, not a burning in your mouth) rather than full-blown heat. You can try it... Read more
